The World Playground Research Institute compiles and conducts research on the importance of playgrounds for children’s health and development. Hosted at the University of Southern Denmark and in partnership with KOMPAN, we aim to create more and better places to play for more children in the world.Â
Our mission is clear: More children in the world should play on playgrounds that stimulate their health and development. To achieve this, we advocate for evidence-informed playground planning and design. And to support this, we make research evidence easily accessible to everyone wanting to plan and design a good playground.
